Chelsea Fox to return to EastEnders

EastEnders announces the return of Chelsea Fox to the show, with Zaraah Abrahams taking over the role of Denise's oldest daughter.

Chelsea Fox is to return to EastEnders with actress Zaraah Abrahams taking over the role, it has been announced.

Chelsea - the oldest daughter of Denise (Diane Parish) - was last seen on the square 10 years ago, choosing to leave Walford after the devastating revelation that her father Lucas Johnson (Don Gilet) was a serial killer.

"I am so excited to be joining such an iconic show," said Abrahams. "I am really looking forward to taking on the role of Chelsea Fox."

The news that Chelsea is returning to the show comes days after it was revealed that Gilet will be reprising his role as Lucas later this year.

Exec producer Jon Sen said: "When Chelsea was around, trouble was never far away and that is as true as ever when she returns to Walford later this year.

"We are excited that fans are going to see Chelsea back on their screens and thrilled that the wonderful Zaraah is going to play her."

The part of Chelsea, who had relationships with characters including Jack - now dating her mother Denise - and Grant Mitchell, was originally played by Tiana Benjamin.
