The BBC reschedules Friday's episodes of EastEnders and MasterChef to Thursday in order to make way for Six Nations rugby coverage.

The BBC has moved this Friday's episode of EastEnders to Thursday in a last-minute scheduling change.

The Six Nations rugby clash between France and Scotland, having been previously postponed by coronavirus, has now been given the go-ahead to take place on Friday night and will be broadcast on BBC One.

As a result the episode of EastEnders due to be shown on Friday will now be shown as part of a double-bill from 7.40pm on Thursday night.

In Ireland, RTE One will show the two episodes of the soap on Thursday and Friday as originally planned.

The rugby coverage has also affected this week's final heats on MasterChef, which will now also air as a double bill on Thursday night from 8.30pm to 10pm.
