Vicky Entwistle "can't see" Coronation Street return

Vicky Entwistle appears to rule out a future return to Coronation Street as Janice Battersby.

Former Coronation Street star Vicky Entwistle has suggested that she may never return to the soap.

The 52-year-old played no-nonsense Janice Battersby on the cobbles between 1997 and 2011, with the character leaving the street with a man she had recently met at the Rovers.

Janice's daughter Toyah (Georgia Taylor) and step-daughter Leanne (Jane Danson) are still regulars on the show, but Entwistle believes that her time is now done.

"I can't see [a comeback]," she told The Sun. "I was knackered before they even added an extra episode, so I don't think I'd keep up.

"I'm happy with how things worked out.

"We might not fly off to Barbados every year but I have a home and a husband I love. That's all anyone could ask for."

After leaving Corrie, Entwistle had a stint on Celebrity Big Brother alongside her former on-screen husband Bruce Jones.
