The identities of teenage tearaway Brody's parents on Coronation Street will reportedly be revealed in the coming weeks.

Teenage tearway Brody (Ryan Mulvey) will reportedly be revealed as the son of an established Coronation Street couple in the coming weeks.

The character was first introduced to the soap in February as a fellow inmate of Dylan (Liam McCheyne) at the Secure Training Centre and the pair quickly bonded.

Brody's nasty side has shown its head on multiple occasions, however, as he has made threats to Dylan and is also blackmailing Dylan's dad Sean (Antony Cotton) to smuggle in contraband goods.

According to The Sun, Brody is about to be unveiled as the son of nightmare neighbours Mick (Joe Layton) and Lou Michaelis (Farrel Hegarty) - however, in a twist Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) is actually revealed to be Brody's biological father.

A source told the newspaper: "It's going to be a big shock when Brody is revealed to be Mick and Lou's son but it's clear the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

"He's been terrorising Dylan in the Secure Training Centre just like Mick's been terrorising the residents on the cobbles.

"But there's going to be a massive twist that reveals Brody isn't Mick's son - he's really Kit Green's.

"It's going to be explosive as Kit discovers the truth and finds out he's had a kid for years."

Both Mick and Lou will be leaving the show this summer, although it is currently unclear whether Brody will remain in Weatherfield or depart alongside them.
