Charlotte Jordan says that she believes her Coronation Street character Daisy will always be head over heels for Daniel.

Coronation Street star Charlotte Jordan has said that she believes her character Daisy will always be head over heels for Daniel (Rob Mallard), no matter whether either of them is in another relationship.

Daniel is now back with old flame Bethany (Lucy Fallon), while Daisy has been having an on-off fling with Kit (Jacob Roberts) - although before Christmas a distraught Daniel had a one-night stand with his former fiancée.

Daisy has since discovered that she is pregnant, although the identity of the father remains unclear and Daniel is still keeping the secret of his fling from Bethany.

"I don't think Daisy's feelings towards Daniel will ever change," said Jordan, who recently revealed that she will be leaving the soap in the coming months.

"Daisy always has, and always will be, in love with Daniel and has always been holding on to hope that they will get back together. I don't think she could ever fully move on from him."

As for Daisy's true feelings towards Kit, she continued: "Daisy is definitely using Kit. She enjoys the attention and likes to use him to make Daniel jealous.

"I think Kit is just an option for Daisy to pass along the time until she can hopefully get Daniel back - well, that's how Daisy sees it. Kit is good for Daisy's ego, but I'm not actually sure what they have in common and how they would work in the long term.

"Although, both Kit and Daisy have a dark side to them, which is the only thing that they seem to have in common - which isn't a healthy thing."

In next week's episodes, Bethany decides to accept an offer of a dream journalism job in London - although it remains up in the air whether Daniel will be going with her.

"I think if Daniel doesn't move away with Bethany then Daisy will definitely see that as another final opportunity," Jordan continued.

"Daisy sees Bethany as her main obstacle really, so with her out of the picture she will think it's only a matter of time before she can finally get what she wants, which of course is Daniel, and we all know that Daisy will do anything to get what she wants."

Coronation Street continues Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 7am on ITVX and at 8pm on ITV1.
