Lucy Fallon will return to Coronation Street as Bethany Platt later this year, it has been confirmed.
The actress went on maternity leave at the end of last year - last appearing on screen in February - and gave birth to a baby daughter, her second child with footballer Ryan Ledson, in January.
In recent days fans speculated that she had quit the soap after she revealed that she had signed with a new talent agency but ITV has now dismissed the rumours.
A Corrie spokesperson told Metro: "Lucy will be returning to filming in the summer after maternity leave, as always planned."
Bethany, who is currently said to be working in London, is expected back on screen in Weatherfield in October.
