Stephen plans his escape from Weatherfield, unaware that multiple residents of the street are starting to figure out what he's been up to...
Carla's frustrated that without evidence for the police, it can't be proved that Stephen was the one who dosed her up on LSD. Later, she finds printouts of a one-way ticket to Thailand and tells Swain that it's clear Stephen is a flight risk.

Carla ignores Swain's insistence that she keep quiet for the time being and goes to visit Jenny, explaining that the police are investigating Stephen before begging her not to go to Thailand with him. How will Jenny take the news?

A curious Tim returns to the canal towpath and after digging about in the water, he's shocked to see a corpse's hand float up to the surface. Tim rushes back to his cab to call 999 to report finding a dead body - but the phone cuts out and then Stephen gets in the car.
Stephen tries to strangle Tim with a tie but he manages to wriggle free and makes a run for it, but when he trips on his shoelace, Stephen knocks him out with a brick.

Meanwhile, Sally's left fuming that Tim has seemingly gone to the County game with Tim rather than celebrate their wedding anniversary - unaware that Stephen's locked him in the boot of the car and doused it with petrol...

Later, Stephen arrives home and goes straight for a shower to wash away Tim's blood before calling up the airline to confirm his flight for tomorrow.
