Adam falls for Lydia
Adam's pleased when Sarah asks him to come to Harry's birthday party, but his happiness is short-lived as she reveals that she's filed for divorce.

Adam meets Lydia in a coffee shop and tries to discreetly record her, but Lydia sees through his plan and snatches his phone. The pair scuffle and an enraged Lydia slaps then shoves Adam, causing him to topple backwards over the railings. Lydia looks on in horror - what has she done?

Adam learns that he has a bleed behind the eye and must have an operation to have any chance of saving his sight. When Daniel and Ken quiz him on what happened, he claims that he can't remember. Meanwhile, Sarah learns from Peter what happened and Carla urges her to be there for Adam when he wakes from his operation.

End of the road for Gary?
Gary faces some tough questions from the private investigator about his dealings with Rick. Afterwards, Laura knocks back the drink in the Rovers alongside her morphine tablets and when she stumbles out the pub in a state, Gary comes to her rescue.

Kelly's fuming when she learns that Laura has been drinking and tells her that she's the most selfish mother in the world. After Gary urges Kelly to go easy on her, Laura asks him to become Kelly's legal guardian. Later, Gary's horrified when he learns from Maria that County's new ground will be situated on the site where he moved Rick's body to.

Gary desperately tries to break into the building site to move Rick's body but to no avail. Laura hears back from the private investigator who stuns her with the news that Rick is in all likelihood dead and Gary is the prime suspect for his murder. When she confronts Gary, what will he say?

Maria gets an election boost
Phill gives Maria a confidential report that proves the council are trying to cover up how dangerous the local air pollution is.

Gary and Maria cast their votes before posing for photos outside of the polling station. Maria's upbeat mood is dampened when she learns that Phill may lose his job over the report.

Ken agrees to transfer the money from Deirdre's trust fund to pay for Amy's degree, but Steve urges him to reconsider. Later, Steve's less than pleased to learn that Dev has given his daughter a job at the chippy.

Faye feels guilty when Beth suggests to Craig that he didn't really want to leave the police and attempts to surprise him with a night out. Craig turns her down however, reminding her that he has work first thing - and later, Craig admits to Emma that he harbours some resentment towards Faye for what happened with Ted.

Faye admits to Elaine that she may be pregnant but the timing is awful as she's not been getting along with Craig. Meanwhile, Craig makes tentative enquiries about getting his old job back and Emma heads off for a secret date with Jon.

Sally returns from Newcastle and Tim only has one thing on his mind - sex. He persuades her to break their ban a day early but their plans are scuppered when Elaine arrives back home.
