TNT Sports inks four-year rights deal for FA Cup

TNT Sports is to become the new UK broadcaster of the FA Cup from the 2025-26 season.

TNT Sports has secured the broadcast rights to the FA Cup in a four-year deal starting from the 2025-26 season.

The rights are currently held jointly by the BBC and ITV, although under TNT's new deal a free-to-air broadcaster will also show select games from the elite competition.

The agreement gives TNT rights to select games from the first and second rounds of the competition, while from the third round onwards TNT will show every game not kicking off at 3pm on Saturday, meaning that more games than ever will be televised live in the UK.

Former Manchester United defender and TNT pundit Rio Ferdinand said: "The FA Cup, the one that got away, so the next best thing is to get to work on it on TNT Sports... but seriously, it's fantastic to see TNT Sports go from strength to strength, with even more live football, from grassroots to top flight, fantastic storylines and more huge moments for our viewers to enjoy, fantastic news that TNT Sports will be the new home of the FA Cup."

The deal also covers rights to the FA Community Shield, as well as the FA Youth Cup semi-finals and final.
