Sky Sports has signed a one-year deal to broadcast live coverage of the inaugural UK season of the Baller League.

The new competition features 12 teams, managed by footballing figures and influencers, playing each other for 30-minute games indoors, futsal-style.

The teams comprise former Premier League players, futsal players, free agents, ex-Academy players and influencers, including the likes of Ciaran Clark, Adrian Mariappa and Josh Harrop.

Among the managers are Gary Lineker, Alan Shearer and Micah Richards jointly managing a team called 'Deportrio', John Terry, Luis Figo, Freddie Ljungberg, Robert Pires, Angry Ginge, Miniminter, Ian Wright and Maya Jama.

The six games a week will be broadcast live on Sky Sports for 11 rounds from the Copper Box Arena in London, after which the top four teams progress to a playoff format to determine the winner.

Coverage gets underway on the evening of Monday, March 24 on Sky Sports Mix.
