ITV secures a deal to broadcast the LIV Golf tournament for the 2025 season.

ITV has secured a broadcast deal for the UK rights to the controversial LIV Golf tournament for the 2025 season.

The Saudi-backed venture - a rival to the PGA Tour with lucrative prize money - launched in 2022 and began its fourth season last weekend, with Adrian Meronk winning the round individually.

ITVX will serve as the primary hub for LIV Golf coverage, with every round being broadcast live on the platform and select rounds also going out on ITV1 and ITV4.

"This is an exciting time for LIV Golf as we look ahead to the innovative 2025 season," said Niall Sloane, ITV's director of sport. "This partnership delivers free-to-air coverage for fans in the UK and we are delighted to welcome LIV Golf to ITV Sport."

Ron Wechsler, LIV Golf's svp of broadcast partnerships, said: "Our partnership with ITV represents a major milestone as we strive to bring LIV Golf to every corner of the world.

"With a premier sports broadcaster like ITV, we can ensure that more fans than ever will be able to access the excitement of the LIV Golf experience and connect with the world-class players, teams, and stories that make us a truly standalone global sports league."
