Simon Cowell "feeling great" after breaking back

Simon Cowell is said to be "feeling great" and exercising again after breaking his back in August.

Media mogul Simon Cowell is said to be going on lengthy walks and even swimming after breaking his back earlier this summer.

The 61-year-old suffered the injury two months ago while testing out a new electric bike at his home in California and as a result was forced to miss the conclusions of Britain's Got Talent and America's Got Talent.

Cowell had originally hoped to be back in the UK to appear on the Christmas episode of BGT, which is being pre-recorded this Tuesday, but the Daily Mail says that he is now aiming to be fit in time for filming the new series in January.

"Simon was advised not to fly back to [the UK] by doctors," a source told the newspaper.

"He is walking a lot and swimming and feeling great - but focusing on being on top form for the start of filming for Britain's Got Talent 2021 in January."

The finale of the current series of BGT airs tonight from 7.30pm on ITV.
