Danny Beard admits that "f**king prejudice" may have put himself off forming a bond with Sir Michael Fabricant in the Celebrity Big Brother house.

Danny Beard has admitted that "f**king prejudice" may have put himself off forming a bond with Sir Michael Fabricant in the Celebrity Big Brother house.

The pair were among 13 celebrities to enter the famous house last night as a new run began, with former Conservative MP Michael receiving a notably loud chorus of boos as he made his way to the stage.

Later on night one, Danny - winner of RuPaul's Drag Race - told Michael, who is bisexual, that he had expected not to like him due to his political allegiances but that had changed after meeting him in person.

After a joke about whether to sit on the hot tub lid or not, Danny told Michael: "You're filthy. I mean I'm filthy, but I feel like I get away with it but maybe I don't, maybe I don't."

Michael then explained that he now 'feels free' after being deposed as an MP last July, adding: "Not being an MP... I can be myself. I was pretty much myself anyway."

"Well that's all you can be," Danny replied. "Now I won't lie, I didn't think I was gonna get on with you, 'cos it's like the Tory thing, but actually I've really connected with you tonight."

He continued: "You know what, I think I'm dead open-minded, but actually maybe I came in here with fucking prejudice 'cos I thought 'I probably won't get on with him' but you've been dead funny."

Celebrity Big Brother continues tonight at 9pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
