Paralympic star Kadeena Cox to miss Commonwealth Games due to injury

Double Paralympic champion Kadeena Cox is ruled out of the Commonwealth Games in Australia due to injury.

Double Paralympic champion Kadeena Cox has been forced to withdraw from the Commonwealth Games due to injury.

The 27-year-old was included in the England squad for the multi-event contest, which will take place at the Gold Coast in Australia next month.

However, it has been confirmed that Cox, who was due to make her competition debut in the T38 100m event, will no longer be fighting for a medal.

A short statement from Commonwealth Games England revealed that a replacement will not be named "at the current time".

The Games will begin on April 4 and end on April 15.
