Adam Smith-Neale, Robbie Knops secure PDC Tour Cards on Day Four

Adam Smith-Neale and Robbie Knops win the respective UK and European events at PDC Q-School on Sunday.

Adam Smith-Neale has earned his spot on the PDC Tour for the next two years after winning the UK event at Q-School on Day Four.

The former World Masters champion had endured a mixed first three days, but the 29-year-old came through a number of close matches to secure his PDC Tour Card.

Smith-Neale recorded a 6-4 victory over Nick Kenny in the final, a four-leg surge during the middle stages proving key to overcome an opponent who also picks up a Tour Card through the Order of Merit.

However, there was disappointment for Fallon Sherrock who suffered a 6-3 defeat at the hands of Robert Collins in the first round.

Needing to finish in the top nine, Sherrock was 17th in the Order of Merit, meaning that she will be the eighth alternate for PDC Pro Tour events.

Dylan Slevin, Lee Evans, Stephen Burton, Keegan Brown, Adam Warner, Graham Hall, Callum Goffin and Christian Perez were the other players to finish high enough in the Order of Merit.

Meanwhile, Robbie Knops came through the European event to earn a spot on the PDC Tour for the first time in his career.

The 40-year-old, who is 104th in the WDF Rankings, improved as the day progressed, eventually seeing off Richard Veenstra in the final by a 6-4 scoreline.

Each of the first nine legs went with throw until Knops secured the break in the 10th for his most notable achievement in the sport.

Maik Kuivenhoven, Veenstra, Niels Zonneveld, Pascal Rupprecht, Ronny Huybrechts, Karel Sedlacek, Jacques Labre, Daniel Klose, Gian van Veen and Owen Roelofs also booked their places on the tour through the Order of Merit.
