Ireland head coach Phil Simmons has reportedly been offered the chance to take charge of the West Indies.
Simmons, who played 26 Test matches and 143 one-day internationals for the Windies, has been with Ireland since 2007, and came close to leading the side to the knockout stages of the World Cup in an impressive campaign.
However, he could be close to leaving his post after being approached by the West Indies Cricket Board, according to BBC Sport.
The report claims that the 51-year-old has not yet accepted the job, but Irish officials are understood to be willing to allow him to make the switch.
Stuart Williams has been in temporary charge of the West Indies since the team parted company with Ottis Gibson last August.
