A cricket agent says that match fixing has been happening for years, claiming Australian cricketers are also involved.

The London court hosting the corruption trial of Pakistani cricketers Salman Butt and Mohammad Asif has heard how Australian stars have also allegedly "rigged" games.

Covert recordings of cricket agent Mazhar Majeed talking to an undercover News of the World journalist were played into the court earlier today.

The recordings showed Majeed, who has been accused of taking bribes, telling the reporter how he and Pakistani cricketers have been involved in match-fixing for "about two and a half years" and have made "masses and masses of money".

Majeed also said that match fixing had been happening for years and named players, stating further that the Australians were "the biggest" when it came to fixing matches.
