Draymond Green: 'Don't count Golden State Warriors out'

Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green warns their rivals that they shouldn't be counted out of retaining their championship title next season.

Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green has insisted that his team shouldn't be counted out of winning another championship next season.

The Warriors defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA Finals 2015, but are not considered favourites by many experts ahead of the new campaign.

"Everybody already said we're not the favourite — we can't do this, we can't do that — so there will definitely be a chip [on the shoulder] there for sure," Green said on KNBR 680-AM.

"We're the defending champs and everybody is counting us out already after the moves the Spurs made."

The San Antonio Spurs acquired LaMarcus Aldridge and David West this off-season, while signing the likes of Tim Duncan and Kawhi Leonard to new deals.
