NBA roundup: Brooklyn Nets continue impressive home form

Sports Mole rounds up Sunday's NBA action as the Brooklyn Nets continue their fine home form with a win over the Minnesota Timberwolves.

The Brooklyn Nets continued their impressive home form on Sunday night by notching their 13th straight win at the Barclays Center, with a 114-99 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves.

The Nets were helped by six players who got into double-figure scores, with Alan Anderson and Paul Pierce in particularly good form.

In Oklahoma, Kevin Durant recorded his 38th straight game having scored at least 25 points, as the Oklahoma City Thunder beat the Utah Jazz 116-96 at the Chesapeake Energy Arena.

Durant was in impeccable form as he aims to beat the longest run of 40 games set by Michael Jordan in the 1986-87 season, with the forward notching 31 points in three quarters of play.

LaMarcus Aldridge scored 28 points to lead five scorers in double figures at the Moda Center, with the Portland Trail Blazers rising victorious to beat the Memphis Grizzlies 105-98.

Chicago Bulls man D.J. Augustin tallied a new career-high 33 points against the Boston Celtics, as the the Bulls snuck away with a 107-105 away win at TD Garden.

The game also saw a standout performance from Joakim Noah, who finished with 13 points, eight rebounds and 13 assists, as the Bulls leant on a 39-point fourth quarter in order to secure the victory.

The Cleveland Cavaliers won on home soil as they defeated the Indiana Pacers 90-76 at the Quicken Loans Arena, in a game which saw shooting guard Dion Waiters score a game-high 19 points.

The Los Angeles Lakers recorded their third straight home win, a record not held since last November, as they beat the Phoenix Suns 115-99 at the Staples Center.

The New York Knicks have got themselves within one game of the eighth-seed position in the Eastern Conference as they won out 89-84 against the Golden State Warriors at the Oracle Arena, thanks to a handy showing from J.R. Smith, who scored a team-high 21 points.

Finally, in Florida, the Orlando Magic lost to the Toronto Raptors for a seventh straight time with a 98-93 defeat at the Amway Center, courtesy of DeMar DeRozan, who shone with 28 points for the Canadian side away from home.
