Anyika Onuora sneaks through to semi-finals with personal best in Beijing

Anyika Onuora sneaks through to the women's 400m semi-finals at the World Championship as she qualifies as one of the fastest losers after finishing fourth in her heat.

GB athlete Anyika Onuora advanced into the semi-finals of the women's 400m at the World Championship in Beijing after finishing as one of the fastest qualifiers.

The 30-year-old finished fourth in her heat, but a personal-best time of 51.14s proved enough to take her into the next stage.

Bianca Razor of Romania won the preliminary at a time of 50.37, with Jamaican Shericka Jackson and Nigeria's Patience Okon George ending up second and third.

Onuora was one-quarter of the 4x100m relay team that won gold at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow last summer.
