Mo Farah to run at Anniversary Games

Great Britain's Mo Farah reveals that he will return to the track at the Sainsbury's Anniversary Games in London.

Mo Farah has confirmed that he will compete at the Sainsbury's Anniversary Games at the Olympic Stadium in London later this month.

The British distance runner has been out of action for a number of weeks following anti-doping allegations made against his coach Alberto Salazar.

However, ahead of August's World Athletics Championships in Beijing, the 32-year-old has decided to race over 3,000m on Friday, July 24.

"This year's World Championships are hugely important to me and the 3000m at the Sainsbury's Anniversary Games will be the best possible preparation," he said in a statement.

"I can't wait to run in front of a home crowd again and thank the British public for all their support. I hope that the fans will come out and cheer me on at the Olympic Stadium."

At the Worlds, Farah will compete over 5000m and 10000m.
