Team GB long-distance runner Mo Farah has been named the European Athlete of the Year for the second time in a row.
The 29-year-old, who has been expected to pick up the honour, claims the title following a successful London Olympic Games, where he won gold in both the 5,000m and 10,000m finals.
Farah will be presented with the award in Malta next week, where he will be joined by fellow British athlete Jessica Ennis, who has been named the women's equivalent.
Ennis won a gold medal at London 2012 in the women's heptathlon.
