Buffalo squandered a big lead but came back again to defeat the Los Angeles Rams.

The Buffalo Bills continued their winning start to the NFL season as they came from behind to secure a thrilling 35-32 victory over the Los Angeles Rams.

In a topsy-turvy contest at Bills Stadium, the hosts led 28-3 in the third quarter, with quarter-back Josh Allen the star of the show.

But after a controversial interception, the Rams fought back with four touchdowns to take the lead, before Allen led a game-winning drive that concluded with a touchdown pass to Tyler Croft.

Also with three wins on the board from three matches are the Pittsburgh Steelers after they beat the Houston Texans 28-21 at Heinz Field on a special occasion for the Watts brothers.

Pittsburgh’s TJ and Derek ended up with the bragging rights over Houston’s JJ as the three siblings met for the first time in an NFL fixture.

Two other sides with 3-0 records are the Chicago Bears, who triumphed 30-26 at the Atlanta Falcons, and the Tennessee Titans, 31-30 winners at the Minnesota Vikings.

The Las Vegas Raiders were unable to add to their opening two victories as they went down 36-20 at the New England Patriots, while Super Bowl runners-up the San Francisco 49ers won 36-9 at the New York Giants despite being depleted by injuries.

The Philadelphia Eagles’ clash with the Cincinnati Bengals at Lincoln Financial Field ended tied at 23-23, and the Cleveland Browns defeated Washington 34-20.

History was made at that match at the FirstEnergy Stadium, with females coaching on both sides – Cleveland’s Callie Brownson and Washington’s Jennifer King – and one officiating on the field – Sarah Thomas – for the first time.

In other games, the Carolina Panthers won 21-16 at the Los Angeles Chargers, the Indianapolis Colts won 36-7 at the New York Jets, the Seattle Seahawks won 38-31 at the Dallas Cowboys, the Detroit Lions beat the visiting Arizona Cardinals 26-23, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers won 28-10 at home to the Denver Broncos and the Green Bay Packers won 37-30 at home to the New Orleans Saints.
