Chelsea 'struggling to drum up Kepa interest'

Chelsea have reportedly thus far struggled to drum up interest in underperforming goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga.

Kepa Arrizabalaga could reportedly stay with Chelsea beyond the end of this summer's transfer window as the Blues are finding it difficult to drum up interest in the Spain international.

The 25-year-old has largely struggled to make his mark since he moved to Stamford Bridge in the summer of 2018, becoming the world's most expensive goalkeeper in the process.

Kepa has spent time out of the first XI this season due to his struggles, and it has been suggested that Frank Lampard's side could look to sell him this summer.

According to ESPN, intermediaries have been attempting to drum up interest in the former Athletic Bilbao stopper across Europe, but the exercise has not proved to be a success.

Chelsea continue to be linked with a number of goalkeepers as current number two Willy Caballero will see his contract expire at the end of June.

Ajax's Andre Onana, Burnley's Nick Pope and AC Milan's Gianluigi Donnarumma are among those to be mentioned as possible targets for Lampard's side ahead of the 2020-21 campaign.
